LUMINAR LEARNING CENTER
Welcome to my resource page for Luminar by Macphun - all the best tips and tricks in one place!
If you are using Luminar by Macphun, and want to get the most out of it, you have come to the right place. I have been using it since pre-release, have recorded dozens and dozens of videos about it, written countless articles about it, and use the product on every image that I create. It's a masterpiece of software for photo editing, and I am here to help you learn how to use it.
I decided that since I have created so much content around this amazing product, it would be good to have a central point where you can find links to all of it - sort of a central repository for all my Luminar content. It is spread around this blog as well as on my YouTube and the Macphun site. So now I have compiled it all right here, with quick and easy links, so you can get to what you want easily. Just click on any of it and you will be taken to the right spot!
Check out all the information I compiled here, and let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!

1) Educational Reading: Tips, Tricks, Articles and Reviews
2) YouTube: Video Tutorials, Tips, Tricks, Techniques and Creative Endeavors and Ideas
I have been creating Luminar videos weekly for several months now, and thus have well over 50 videos on YouTube at this point. I'm obviously not going to list them all here, so just pop over to my YouTube channel and subscribe to stay up to date on all the new stuff I release. Below are some of my most popular ones, based on number of views. Hopefully this gives you some creative ideas and inspiration to go craft something new!
I created two playlists on YouTube as well. One is for Luminar Tips, and the other is Luminar Workflow videos. You can access those via these links:
Below is a screenshot from my YouTube, showing you just how much Luminar content exists out there. Click on the image to be taken to my YouTube channel and check out some of this free training!
I have also recorded a lot of videos for Macphun which are on their website. These include a basic overview of each of the filters as well as some more advanced features you can experiment with. You can find all of them right here.
I love presets - absolutely love them. They are a great way to get some one click awesomeness added to a shot, and they are also a great way to give yourself a creative boost in a particular direction. Use them as a starting point and head off with a new creation. There are a million possibilities with Luminar!
I started creating preset packs after I got really familiar with Luminar, and I keep making new ones. It's great fun for me to continue to evolve my use of Luminar, and it requires a lot of creative work to get a completed pack built. I always learn something in the process, and it's always fun.
Below you can find all my preset packs that I have built for Luminar. Just click on one to be taken to the page dedicated to it, with a lot of example photos and more. You can buy that individual pack on that page if you are interested, or click on the image above which will take you to my presets page where you can purchase them all.
Let me know if you have any questions, and thanks for the interest!
I created this texture pack, a collection of 10 interesting textures that will add interest to your photos. It sells for $10 and each file is approximately 6000x4000 pixels, and 10MB in size. It's a fun way to spice up your shots! Read about it in detail right here, and let me know if you have any questions!
5) Articles on the Macphun blog
I have written quite a bit on the Macphun blog over the last year or so, and in particular I wrote three different articles for them when Luminar launched. Because there were a lot of questions about Luminar and how it interacted with both Aurora HDR and the Creative Kit, I tackled those questions in a 3 part series of blog posts. You can find each of those at the links below. Thanks and let me know if you have any questions.
